A strategy based on partnerships at the heart of the patients’ healthcare circuits

Improving and making more fluid the patients’ circuits lies at the heart of the GHU Paris’ strategy. This is why the GHU Paris is currently implementing a proactive policy of cooperation developing with all the actors of the mental healthcare field. Heads and professionals of the GHU Paris endeavor to deploy the collaborations with all the mental healthcare and neurosciences actors. This is expressed by the setting up of framework conventions, networks, dialogues, in order to gather, per pathway, profession or project, all the dedicated interlocutors to ensure an improved healthcare and a better coordination, not only for the GHU Paris’ scale but also for the daily proximity care. The development of partnerships enables to give a better response to the needs of a specific public which is another working area which includes:

  • Helping vulnerable public with the constitution of a unique department “Precariousness Psychiatry” to comfort and develop new partnerships to help those in need;
  • The child psychiatry, with the reinforcement of the links between Parisian Psychiatry and the child protection services which permits to participate in the Direction de l’Action Sociale, de l’Enfance et de la Santé (DASES) strategy, and thus give their propositions to enrich the next project of child protection of the City Council of Paris.

This is why, since 2014, the GHU Paris has started working with the Centre d’Action Sociale de la Ville de Paris (CASVP) to facilitate the patients’ access to the Accommodation Establishments for Dependent Old People (AEDOP) of Paris and improve the psychiatric follow-up of these facilities’ residents.
The GHU Paris has also strongly invested on the psychiatric emergencies by proposing the Agence Régionale de Santé d’Ile-de-France (ARS) and other involved actors (AP HP members, Police, firefighters, Users Representatives Associations) new organizations in order to improve both the regulation and the response to emergency, with the perspective to define a new pattern of the psychiatric emergency in Paris.

Otherwise, each working group of the GHU Paris works on, in its specialization field, the reinforcement of networks and collaborations with the sanitary, social or medico-social actors, linked with the involved authorities (ARS, City of Paris, and the prefecture).
